This is the wallet I lost 2 days before christmas. A couple who found it contacted me and returned it to me a day after because the only contact number was my home phone number and of course nobody will answer their call while we’re at the mall. Angels are God’s greatest gifts. =)

Another shot. Taken at Mang Pepe’s while I wait for Peli to finish eating. =) This Project 365 is a great motivation to blog everyday. =) Thanks again, Chinggay!

Carol’s Photo of the Day

I saw a DS charm in one of the Multiply sites I frequently visit but it was pricey, pink and already sold. I knew then that it wasn’t meant to be. For this was the one meant for me. Thanks Peli. =)

First post for 2009: Today is the greatest! January 2, 2009

Filed under: Celebration, Project 365 — carol @ 11:59 pm

It feels like I’ve been MIA for so long but thank goodness Peli has willingly relieved me of my blogging duties. I didn’t celebrate New Year’s eve nor spent the first day of the New Year with Peli but we were together the whole day today =)

I had been worried about things like my thesis and etc. a couple of days before New Year’s which made me feel more depressed after I knew that Peli and I won’t see each other that day. I was bored and worried even if I spent the day with my extended family watching dvds and hearing mass afterwards. I waited for today like a kid waiting for Christmas morning, with resentment to those who prevented him from opening his gifts and anticipation for something better to happen.

The wait was worth it.

We had lunch at Sakura, went around the mall, watched Iskul Bukol with a triple chocolate smoothie from Fusion and fries and onion rings from NYFD, bought food from French Baker before heading home and most especially bonded the whole time that we were only able to take pictures while we were at Sakura.

Peli, I can’t explain how good it feels to be sad or bored or tired or happy or excited or intensely feel any emotion and feel it with you. You make everything worthwhile. I love you with all my heart. Thank you for letting me love you as much as you love me. I’m so blessed to have you in my life. I hope you enjoy staying in it as much as I enjoy crashing yours. Hehe. I thank God and Mama Mary for us. =) Here’s to a great year ahead!

***EDIT: We weren’t able to blog yesterday but since we want to become part of the Project 365, we hope the number of photos in this blogs makes up for the missed post and we promise to not miss a day again. =D

Christmas Gifts, Downloads Galore, New Year! :) December 27, 2008

I was just taking pictures of the Christmas Gifts I received so I could upload them but my camera’s batteries ran out. I’ll just charge them and take more pictures tomorrow, the charging takes almost a day. Still worth the wait since they also last a long time. Haha. For now, I’ll blog. Haha.

I’ve been downloading lots of songs this vacation, I wanted to download complete albums through torrents but LimeWire P2P downloading seems to work better for me. Haha. Music + Free Virus! LOL. I wish I had super fast internet, and a super large sized HDD or an External HD so I could download them all! Hahahaha! Honestly, if only they’d release their albums here in the Philippines, I’d buy their CDs and support them. It feels like I’m missing Recto Records, I haven’t been there for a long time. I miss being intimidated by the guy from Nocturnal (who I happen to have seen working at a Skate/Surf shop in Rockwell). Hahahaha. I visited Metalstorm again, it has also been a long time since I visited their site, and I re-read their Comics section and saved them all in my PC. Hahaha.

Carol and I were supposed to go and play badminton at Shaft (near Rockwell) but Carol had “shoe” problems, so we ended up eating breakfast at McDonald’s. Hahahahaha! After eating, we listed our new year’s resolutions for the year 2009 in our “list book” Hihihihi. I think the list isn’t finished yet and I also have no intention of posting it in public. Hahahaha.

It’s 8 days before the start of classes (the start of the term for us) and we still haven’t progressed in our Feasibility Study. I’ve already finished my part, and the leader is asking me to help with the harder parts of the Technical Study, but I need everyone’s opinion to finish it. We’ll be meeting on Monday (Dec. 29) and I hope we finish it or at least do a lot of things by that day.

Merry Christmas! ♥ December 25, 2008

Merry Christmas everyone! :) I will continue this blog later with stories and pictures, just wait. :P

*continuation*

I’ve had a very very happy Christmas this year and not only that, I was able to complete the Misa de Gallo with Carol but at different places and time slots. It was kind of like a Visita Iglesia, Simbang Gabi edition, but with 3 churches only. LOL. Also,we’re party people now, we’ve attended lots of Christmas Parties and Birthday Parties this November and December. Haha.

We had a hard time deciding which gifts to give each other so we scheduled a one-day event in for us to buy our gifts. We drew lots to know how many gifts one should give to the other, Carol drew 3 and mine was 4. We started going around the mall/s (Glorietta, Park Square, Landmark, etc.) and then split up when we’ve decided which gifts to buy! Looking for gifts with a time limit is fun and helpful if you’ve got problems deciding. LOL. We split up at Park Square 1 and agreed we’d meet at G4 30 minutes after. I ended up being late because I couldn’t find my 4th gift, and I had to go to the other PowerBooks (Greenbelt) to find it. I still didn’t find it though. In the end, we had 3 gifts each. Yes, may utang pa ako. Hahaha.

This year, I decided to join the tradition at Carol’s of exchanging gifts, monito monita or whatever you want to call it. I bought a cap from Penshoppe for Ate Jelle (the one I drew from the lots). The one who drew my name was Roan (Carol’s ??? *i forgot, i’m sorry!*), and she wrote: “To: Perry”. LOL. Bagong pangalan nanaman! Hahahaha! After the exchanging of gifts, we attended the Christmas Eve mass at Rockwell instead of the usual Sts. Peter and Paul Parish for a change. Before going to the mass, we ate at Pancake House. Pictures are in my multiply. (link at the end of the blog) The mass was held at the Rockwell Tent. Lots of chairs were placed inside and outside, with 3 proejctor screens outside. If you arrived late, you’d probably be standing up outside since there were so many people. We found vacant seats outside but we weren’t covered by the tent and it was starting to rain so we moved up front where there were 2 vacant chairs and I brought my own chair so we could fit. The mass ended and the rain also stopped. Yay! The finale of the Rockwell mass was a 15-minute fireworks display which I happen to have caught on video! The file is too big so I’m having problems in uploading.

When we went home, we waited for Christmas to come while drinking Hot Chocolate and eating Tita Marie’s Spicy Spaghetti. (mmmmmmmmmmm!!!!) We (or I) didn’t notice that it was already past 12 ’til it was around 1 AM already. Haha. We started opening our 3 gifts for each other. My first gift was a Tripod for my camera! Yeeeeeeeeeey! Finally, long exposures would be more stable now. Carol’s first gift was a Micro SD for her Nintendo DS. DoStoevsky’s memory is now 2GB! Separate but still 2GB. Yey! MY second gift was a shirt by Portrait that I really wanted when we were looking around. How To Make A Killer Robot! Heehee! Carol’s second gift was a set of new strings for Bruhie (Carol’s Acoustic Guitar), which of course I would be replacing and tuning. My third gift/s were two books by Paulo Coelho! YYYESSS! By the river… and The Witch of Portobello! I want to collect all his books! Weeeeee! Carol’s third (but not last) gift/s were two music CDs, a Wolfgang 2-in-1 CD and a Sound Album! Hihihihihihi!

In addition, Carol bought for herself, Benrik’s This Diary Will Change Your Life 2009 but didn’t seem to like it so I said I’d take it and replace it with a new one. Hihi. She chose the Design Your Life Planner 2009 which should arrive at their house any day of the week! Yey!

Cleanup Week! ^_^ December 12, 2008

Immediately after all my exams were finished, I started cleaning all my stuff and now I’m on a cleaning spree! :P I started with my two e-mails, one in Yahoo! and one in Gmail. I managed to sort and delete tens of thousands of unread mail. I was also able to set filters in my Gmail since I don’t check my mail that often. After cleaning my mail, I started cleaning my Friendster and Facebook accounts but cleaning Facebook never ends. Hahaha. I also started uploading un-uploaded pictures that should have been uploaded months ago in my Multiply. (at last!) Then I cleaned by PC, and made backups of all my files. 16 DVDs! LOL. I erased some files, uninstalled programs, sorted documents, cleaned my desktop and made my desktop look cooler. :P

I planned to clean my room and make a new layout for the site today but I woke up late so I ended up not doing it and I went with Carol to UST instead. :P I’m now rescheduling my room cleaning tomorrow morning. I promise to wake up early, or at least earlier than usual. Hahahaha.

I’m having so much fun, I feel so guilty. Professors are MIA-ing, parties are overflowing and I keep on procrastinating. I can’t be this happy. Well, I’m worried now. Hehe. Pics and details to come!

Oh my horosocope!:

Are your goals set in stone? They had better be! The more solid they are, the faster you will be able to reach them. A lot can be achieved today, but only if you know exactly what you need to do — write everything down if you need to. This is not a day to just go with the flow or follow your mood. There is too much at stake for you to just do whatever you feel like doing, whenever you feel like doing it. You need to be a little bit more disciplined than usual.

My goodness.  Now I’m really worried. I better focus now. =D

Waiting November 29, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — carol @ 11:50 pm

I’m waiting for midnight so I can bring a mini cake over to my tito’s house to greet him a happy birthday! Hehe. I have a few relatives. They can easily be counted by my two hands. Okay maybe both my feet too. But they’re really important to me because they all took the place of my dad ever since I was born. They’re the only family I have other than my mom. Enough with the drama, it’s only 15 minutes before 12! I am excited!

Sidetrip kwento: We went to La Salle earlier to eat at Flaming Wings but was disappointed because it was already closed when we got there. I should’ve asked anyone from my phonebook first. Anyway, we ate at Ersao in front of Mama V’s and the food was okay. We love to try new food places. =) But my craving for Wicked Oreos continues. Oh well. There will always be another day.

There is another sidetrip kwento about lying salesladies but it’s only ten minutes before 12! :D I shall prepare first. Will edit this later. =)

When I was new in Plurk, I looked around like a kid in a toystore, I searched every username I know and one that I was lucky to find was Paulo Coelho’s account. I replied with enthusiasm to one of his posts and I made myself a fan of him. I didn’t add him as a friend because I thought that he just might get pissed by all my stupidly inferior plurks compared to his. To my surprise, the next day, I had a new alert. Paulo Coelho added me as a friend! =) Hehe. Kinilig. I don’t expect him to reply to my posts or whatever, but I just appreciate the fact that he took the time to view my profile and add me as a friend. =) How do I know it’s really Paulo Coelho? It’s in his blog site. Anyway, so his first plurk today was this:

Paulo Coelho just might be my new horoscope. Lol. Another one of his quotes that I love is about the universe conspiring to help you to achieve what you want. But I think by saying that the universe conspires, he means that if at all you don’t deserve to get what you want, the universe will help you deserve it. If that makes sense.
